Account Manager - Life Sciences (GCCs, India)

Location :

India (Bangalore / Hyderabad Preferred) | Travel as required to GCC sites across India

Experience Level :

10 plus years in Account Management / Consultative Sales in IT Services for Life Sciences, with ownership of $3-5M+ in revenue

Role Summary :

  • We are seeking a techno-functional Account Manager to lead and grow strategic relationships with Global Capability Centers (GCCs) of Life Sciences companies in India. This is a high-impact role requiring a consultative mindset, strong knowledge of Life Sciences business processes, and the ability to position AI-led transformation programs that re-engineer how these processes are run.
  • You will be responsible for revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and opportunity mining within a defined portfolio of Life Sciences GCCs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who combines solutioning acumen with hunting instincts and thrives in customer-facing conversations at the intersection of domain, technology, and transformation.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Drive Revenue Growth : Own a $3-5M+ portfolio; expand existing relationships and hunt for new business within assigned GCCs.
  • Consultative Selling : Identify and contextualize business challenges in R&D, Commercial, Regulatory, or PV; co-create solutions using companies' AI-native platforms and data engineering capabilities.
  • Client Engagement : Build trusted relationships with Directors, VPs, and CXOs across India-based GCC organizations.
  • Strategic Account Management : Develop and execute structured account growth plans aligned to the customer's global and India-specific priorities.
  • Opportunity Management : Lead pursuits end-to-end from qualification to closure across annuity, expansion, and new logos within assigned GCCs.
  • Collaboration : Work closely with RevStrat, SFE, Delivery, and Practice teams to bring the best to the client.
  • Market Intelligence : Stay plugged into Life Sciences trends, GCC evolution models, and enterprise AI adoption to proactively shape client conversations.
  • Operational Oversight : Track key account KPIs, delivery performance, and customer satisfaction; flag risks and mobilize mitigation.
  • Required Qualifications & Experience :

  • 3-5 years of experience in client-facing account management or consultative sales roles in IT services or SaaS companies
  • Proven track record managing a $3-5M+ portfolio and achieving growth targets
  • Experience engaging with Life Sciences clients (pharma / biotech), ideally in GCC environments
  • Solid understanding of core business functions such as clinical development, regulatory ops, safety, or commercial analytics
  • Strong techno-functional orientation : able to translate business problems into AI / ML, data platform, and automation use cases
  • Demonstrated ability to build stakeholder relationships, drive solutioning with cross-functional teams, and close deals
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Exposure to AI / ML, data analytics, and data transformation programs in Life Sciences
  • Experience working with or selling to GCC stakeholders in India
  • Familiarity with global delivery models and working with cross-cultural teams
  • MBA or Master's in a related field (nice to have)
