Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Consultant with hands-on experience in the Biologics or Drug Discovery CRO sector.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the company's growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities (KRAs)

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Biologics and CRO sectors
  • Conduct in-depth market research to support lead generation and competitive analysis
  • Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with biotech, pharma, and research clients globally
  • Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Develop and execute effective business development strategies aligned with organizational goals
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, regulatory, and legal to develop proposals and pitch solutions
  • Manage the entire BD cycle from prospecting to closing deals and post-sales follow-up
  • Track sales pipeline, prepare periodic business development reports, and provide forecasts to management
  • Gather client feedback and relay it to internal teams for continuous service improvement
  • Ensure timely communication, follow-ups, and client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in business development for Biologics or Drug Discovery CROs
  • Strong analytical thinking and decision-making ability
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Sound understanding of drug discovery, biologics lifecycle, and outsourcing models
  • Ability to interpret scientific data and translate it into business opportunities
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and market intelligence platforms
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and consultative sales approach
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Willingness to travel as required for business meetings and conferences
  • Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or Business Management
  • MBA in Marketing or Healthcare Management
