Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Business Development Consultant with hands-on experience in the Biologics or Drug Discovery CRO sector.
The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, managing client relationships, and supporting the company's growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Biologics and CRO sectors
- Conduct in-depth market research to support lead generation and competitive analysis
- Establish, maintain, and grow relationships with biotech, pharma, and research clients globally
- Represent the company in client meetings, conferences, and industry events
- Develop and execute effective business development strategies aligned with organizational goals
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, regulatory, and legal to develop proposals and pitch solutions
- Manage the entire BD cycle from prospecting to closing deals and post-sales follow-up
- Track sales pipeline, prepare periodic business development reports, and provide forecasts to management
- Gather client feedback and relay it to internal teams for continuous service improvement
- Ensure timely communication, follow-ups, and client satisfaction throughout the engagement lifecycle
Required Skills
Proven experience in business development for Biologics or Drug Discovery CROsStrong analytical thinking and decision-making abilityExcellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skillsSound understanding of drug discovery, biologics lifecycle, and outsourcing modelsAbility to interpret scientific data and translate it into business opportunitiesProficiency in CRM tools, MS Office Suite, and market intelligence platformsEntrepreneurial mindset with a proactive and consultative sales approachStrong organizational and time management skillsWillingness to travel as required for business meetings and conferencesEducational Qualifications
