We are a premium, clean-label food brand with a growing presence across marketplaces and direct-to-consumer channels. With a strong focus on ingredient integrity, transparency, and quality, we are now looking to scale distribution through 1P ecommerce models, modern trade, general trade, and quick commerce platforms.
Role Overview :
This is a hardcore business development role for someone who can open new revenue-driving channels across ecommerce (1P), quick commerce, modern trade, and GT retail. You'll work directly with the founder to identify opportunities, pitch the brand, negotiate terms, and onboard high-potential sales partnerships.
You will not be expected to run campaigns from scratch — that's what our agency is for — but you will be expected to monitor, drive, and maximise results from them, while also ensuring flawless listing hygiene, seller operations, and performance tracking.
You Are :
- A deal-closer, not a desk-bound coordinator — you chase growth, not tasks.
- Deeply networked in the FMCG and retail ecosystem, especially within food / snacking.
- Experienced in cracking 1P deals with Amazon, Flipkart, and onboarding on Q-commerce platforms like Zepto, Blinkit, Instamart.
- Comfortable negotiating with category managers, distributors, and retail chains — from pricing to margin structures.
- A business builder who knows how to open doors, not just manage existing channels.
- Fluent in the language of volumes, visibility, contribution margins, and replenishment cycles.
- Hungry to work in a founder-led, fast-moving setup where you can directly shape revenue outcomes.
Key Responsibilities :
1P Ecommerce & Marketplaces
Pitch and negotiate 1P vendor onboarding with Amazon Vendor Central, Flipkart Buying, JioMart, etc.Build relationships with category managers and crack commercial termsCoordinate with ops and content teams to activate listings.Q-Commerce Expansion
Drive brand onboarding and launch across Zepto, Blinkit, Swiggy Minis, InstamartHandle listing approvals, margin negotiations, planograms, and sampling campaignsModern & General Trade
Identify and onboard distributors, retailers, and MT chainsNegotiate trade terms, MRP strategy, visibility, and shelf presenceCoordinate POSM, sampling, and local activations as neededPartnerships & Business Strategy
Explore bulk / reseller channels (Cred Store, Swiggy Handpicked, B2B aggregators)Build GTM plans for new product launches with distribution-led focusCollaborate with finance and supply chain for seamless executionSkills & Experience Required :
4–8 years of sales / business development experience in FMCG food brandsProven success in opening new distribution channels (online and offline)Must have cracked deals with Amazon Retail / Flipkart Buying / Q-commerce platformsStrong negotiation skills and comfort with pricing / margin mathHighly networked in the FMCG distribution or modern trade ecosystemAbility to work in founder-led, high-agility environmentsMumbai-based or willing to relocatePreferred Qualities :
