Title : BDM - Licensing and Cloud Sales

Location : Chennai

Job Type : Full-Time | Field Sales

Role Overview :

The Business Development Manager (BDM) at HexaCorp is responsible for driving revenue growth through field-based sales of Microsoft licensing, Azure cloud solutions, and related software and services. This high-impact, client-facing role focuses on building strong relationships with large corporate clients and partners to deliver licensing optimization, digital transformation, and cloud adoption.

The BDM engages with key decision-makers such as CIOs, CFOs, and IT heads, leveraging field presence to understand customer environments and provide tailored solutions. The role involves close collaboration with channel distributors, OEMs, and HexaCorps internal presales and service delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities :

1. License & Cloud Optimization :

  • Conduct in-person customer engagements to understand licensing requirements and identify optimization opportunities.
  • Position Microsoft licensing solutions across on-premises and cloud platforms (CSP / NCE, EA).
  • Guide clients through compliance, audits, and cost-reduction strategies.

2. Cloud Adoption & GTM Strategy :

  • Drive field sales for Microsoft Azure, AWS, and hybrid cloud solutions.
  • Collaborate with partners to build public / private cloud GTM offerings.
  • Work closely with Microsoft and other OEMs to drive cloud solution adoption in target accounts.
  • 3. Strategic Account Development :

  • Actively manage and grow assigned field territory through account mapping, relationship building, and regular client visits.
  • Develop deep insights into customer IT roadmaps and align HexaCorp offerings to their digital journey.
  • Expand share of wallet through cross-selling services such as SAM, backup, endpoint security, and virtualization.
  • 4. Partner & Channel Engagement :

  • Build strong field-level relationships with distributors (Ingram Micro, Redington, Tech Data, etc.).
  • Develop and execute co-selling and joint go-to-market (GTM) plans with Microsoft and key partners.
  • 5. Consultative Sales & Reporting :

  • Provide advisory-based selling focused on solving business problems with Microsoft cloud and software solutions.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and opportunity tracking in CRM.
  • Execute local marketing campaigns and events for assigned Skills & Experience :
  • Proven success in field sales roles managing mid-market or enterprise clients.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, O365 / M365, and backup / virtualization technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft licensing models (CSP, NCE, EA, SPLA).
  • Strong relationships with Microsoft partners, distributors, and large reseller ecosystems.
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Partner Centre, cloud marketplaces, and cost estimation tools.
