Business Development Summary :
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team in Chennai. As part of a leading Value-Added Distributor (VAD), you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding our partner and customer base, and driving sales of our products and solutions.
You will work closely with vendors, resellers, and end-users to offer not just products, but complete value-added solutions including support, training, and integration services. This role is ideal for someone with strong commercial acumen, channel experience, and a consultative approach to Responsibilities :
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through channel partners, system integrators, and end-users
- Promote and sell assigned product lines and services, emphasizing the value-added aspects of our distribution model
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and channel partners to ensure alignment on business goals
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand product strategies, vendor incentives, and go-to-market plans
- Align business development efforts with regional strategies under the guidance of the Regional Manager and Business Head
- Understand customer requirements and offer tailored solutions that include product, support, and service components
- Coordinate with internal technical and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Stay updated on market trends, new technologies, and competitor 3 to 6 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within IT distribution, electronics, or industrial sectors
- Strong understanding of B2B sales and the value-added distribution model
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to understand and communicate technical solutions in a business context
- Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of sales tools and reporting
- Master's or Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or a related Skills :
- Experience working with OEMs, resellers, and systems integrators
- Knowledge of the Chennai / Tamil Nadu market and an existing partner network
