About the role :

As an IT Security Specialist at Mercari India, you will be responsible for managing, operating, and improving the company&aposs IT security environment. You&aposll play a key role in building a strong security culture, optimizing enterprise IT systems, and laying the foundation for secure and resilient IT operations.

In this role, you will help drive business growth by ensuring the secure, efficient, and cost-effective management of enterprise IT accounts and assets. You&aposll also support the development of security-conscious practices across the organization.

Success in this role requires the ability to quickly understand business challenges, propose IT-driven solutions, and apply strong project management and communication skills to help empower Mercari employees through a robust and secure IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Install, configure, and perform day-to-day operations and administration of IT security solutions (such as IAM, MDM, EDR, and DLP) on Mercari India endpoints and network environments
• Review and advise on endpoint and corporate network configurations to identify deviations from Mercari security standards
• Maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the endpoint and corporate network environments, and enforce the Acceptable Use Policy
• Collaborate with the Corporate Engineering Team to design and implement a stable, secure, and optimized IT environment for Mercari India
• Conduct vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate risks
• Provide subject matter expertise in the development of security policies and guidelines for Mercari India
• Collaborate with the Mercari Japan IT and Security teams to drive fundamental improvements in IT security operations and implement best practices through engineering-led solutions
• Collaborate with the Mercari Japan Security team to investigate incidents that occur in Mercari India and provide recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
