Your New Role :
The Business Analyst will perform requirements gathering, analysis, process modelling, testing, training and support activities and will work directly with process owners, stakeholders, technical management and end users to ensure alignment of technology solutions with strategic business roadmaps. There will be a further opportunity to specialize in testing or application development.
Daily activities will include working as part of a team performing analysis and documentation of changes to business systems as well as providing 1st and 2nd line support and testing of the applications to ensure systems are presented to a high standard.
Your Role Accountabilities :
SUPPORT AND ANALYSIS
- Partner with the business to ensure appropriate usage of technology solutions
- Responsible to document business processes, use cases, requirements and to formulate and recommend strategic process reengineering efficiencies and business performance improvements.
- Translate designs into Functional & Technical specifications that meet the business need
- Responsible to continually monitor and analyse post-stabilisation user adoption rates and changing business processes and to recommend required solution modifications.
- Produce Training Materials and Step Guides for new releases and maintain existing system manuals
- Manage & support implementation of systems
- End user support for a variety of disparate systems
- Updating enhancement and defect tracking systems with latest status
TESTING
Responsible to create detailed Test plans and system testing solutions to ensure they meet documented specifications and the business requirements.Effective reporting of test progress and maintaining status in test management systemResponsible to create detailed User Acceptance Test plans, organize and conduct User Acceptance Testing and Training activities, and to ensure successful delivery and deployment of high quality technology solutions with high rates of user adoption.Setup and maintenance of testing environments including user roles and permissionsDEVELOPMENT (Depending on specialty)
Development planning and the delivery of value added work, to scope and budgetDevelop solutions according to specification and best practiceConvert functional requirements into technical specifications and design documents, providing development estimatesOwn and manage complex technical or development issues and change requests through to resolutionUnit testing of developed solutionsRelease management (testing, versioning and creation of release notes)Technical and development troubleshootingQualifications & Experiences :
Relevant Previous Work Experience
2+ years experience in a Business Analyst / process definition and re-engineering roleSolid experience working with Sr. Business Executives, process sponsors and stakeholders in a facilitation role.Demonstrable experience working with 3rd party service providers and offshore / virtual teamsExperience working in internal or external business, management or technology consultingExperience working within the entertainment industry is highly desirableExperience working with finance systems is highly desirableExperience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or D365 is highly desirableTechnical
