Role Summary
Own the government & institutional tender pipeline end-to-end with a strong focus on GeM (Government e-Marketplace) . You'll scout opportunities, drive bid / no-bid, craft winning proposals, participate in RAs, and convert awards into revenue—working closely with Sales, Tech, Ops, Finance, and Legal.
Key Responsibilities
Tender Intelligence & PipelineTrack opportunities on GeM , CPPP / eProcure, and State portals; set alerts via aggregators (e.g., BidAssist / TenderTiger).Qualify RFPs / RFQs / BOQs against scope, eligibility, specs, delivery locations, and SLAs.Bid ManagementLead bid / no-bid decisions; build submission calendars and compliance checklists.Prepare techno-commercial proposals, price bids, OEM / authorization letters, datasheets, brochures, undertakings, and annexures.Ensure 100% compliance on criteria (turnover / experience / ISO / BIS / Make-in-India, MSME / Udyam where applicable).GeM ExecutionCreate / manage GeM product listings, catalogs, and spec mapping; keep rates, delivery timelines, and warranties current.Drive Bids / BOQs / Direct Purchase / RA (Reverse Auctions) : strategy, floor / ceiling logic, live participation, clarifications, and post-bid documentation.Manage CRAC, consignee acceptance, e-invoicing , warranty SLAs, and vendor ratings.Stakeholder ManagementBuild relationships with procurement officers across Ministries, PSUs, PSBs, Railways / Defence / Institutions, and large EPCs / SIs.Coordinate internally for pre-bid queries, site surveys, delivery plans, and PBG / SD paperwork (if required).Governance & HandoverMaintain audit-ready records : tender folders, approvals, correspondence, and trackers.Smooth handoff to Projects / Ops for delivery & installation; monitor milestone billing and collections.Required Skills & Qualifications
Hands-on GeM expertise (listing, bidding, RA, order processing, CRAC, returns, warranty workflows).2–5 years in Government / Institutional sales or tendering for hardware / IoT / industrial / electrical / HVAC / water treatment.Strong command of tender documents (RFP / RFQ / NIT / BOQ), compliance drafting, and pricing math.Proficiency with Excel / Google Sheets, PPT, and a CRM (Zoho / HubSpot / Salesforce).Excellent written communication for pre-bid queries, deviations, clarifications, and official letters.Graduate in Engineering / Commerce; MBA / PGDM is a plus.Nice-to-Have
Experience with water purification / RO / industrial utilities or capital equipment.Knowledge of BIS / ISO, Make-in-India, and public procurement rules.Familiarity with CPPP / eProcure and major State portals.KPIs (What Success Looks Like)
