Role Overview :

The General Manager - R&D will lead product development and technology innovation for the automotive and mobility business. This role requires a proven leader with deep expertise in vehicle systems, powertrain, EV technologies, and components, capable of driving new product introduction, managing R&D teams, and collaborating with global stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities :

• Product Development Leadership : Lead the design, validation, and launch of new automotive and mobility solutions across 2W / 4W / EV segments.
• Innovation & Technology Roadmap : Define and execute the R&D roadmap for next-gen mobility solutions, focusing on EVs, lightweighting, and sustainable materials.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless product industrialization.
• Client & OEM Collaboration : Work closely with OEMs, Tier-1s, and global R&D partners to co-develop cutting-edge technologies.
• Team Leadership : Mentor and guide multi-disciplinary R&D engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and IP generation.
• Regulatory & Compliance : Ensure products meet global safety, emission, and regulatory standards (AIS, BS VI, Euro standards).
• Market Intelligence : Track global tech trends, patents, and competitor innovations to keep the organization ahead of the curve.
• Budget & Resource Planning : Manage R&D budgets, vendor relationships, and external collaborations to optimize efficiency.
