We're searching for an experienced and driven Senior Manager / AVP - Business Development & Sales to join our team in Mumbai. We are a leading manufacturer of high-quality Technical Springs and High Tensile Fasteners. About the Role :
This pivotal role will drive sales growth with existing OEM clients while spearheading new business development initiatives to expand our market reach. You'll be instrumental in achieving our aggressive revenue targets and identifying new product opportunities to enhance our portfolio.
Key Responsibilities :
Sales - Existing OEMs :
- Manage and grow relationships with existing OEM clients to maximize sales opportunities for our technical springs and high tensile fasteners.
- Understand customer needs and proactively offer solutions from our current product lines.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to ensure profitable sales.
- Maintain strong client satisfaction and retention.
Business Development - New OEM Acquisition :
Identify, prospect, and acquire new OEM clients, with a strong focus on Industrial OEMs and Wind Energy customers.Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential leads and emerging trends.Develop and implement strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and segments.Build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.New Product Development (NPD) Identification :
Actively research market trends and customer requirements to identify 2-3 new product opportunities that align with our manufacturing capabilities (e.g., fasteners, bearings, machine components).Collaborate with engineering and production teams to assess feasibility and profitability of new product lines.CRM Management :
Utilize CRM effectively to manage sales pipeline, track customer interactions, and report on sales activities.Ensure data accuracy and leverage CRM for strategic decision-making.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) :
Achieve annual revenue targets for existing product lines.Secure sales as per targets and plans for the next two financial years within current product lines.Successfully onboard new OEM clients.Desired Profile of the Candidate :
Minimum 8 years of extensive experience in Sales & Business Development, with a proven track record of success in the industrial sector.At least 5 years of dedicated experience in the Wind Energy industry with comprehensive sales and business development portfolio management.Strong preference for candidates from the fastener manufacturing industry or related product manufacturing companies (bearings, machine components).Educational background of B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, or Automobile Engineering is essential; an MBA is an added advantage.Proven ability to manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.Demonstrated experience in international travel to Europe for sales and business development activities is highly preferred.Familiarity with sales processes in large, professional, and multi-national companies is a plus.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and sales performance.Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
