Area Sales Manager B2B Sales
Looking for an "Area Sales Manager B2B Sales" for a leading Textile garment manufacturer based out of Chennai.
8 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in textiles, garments.
Drive wholesale and institutional sales for our lungi product lines.
The ASM will be responsible for developing and managing a network of distributors, dealers, and bulk buyers across a specific geographic area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of B2B sales in the textile / garment industry and a proven track record of delivering Sales Development :
- Identify, on board, and manage wholesale buyers, distributors, and institutional clients.
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts to ensure repeat business.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and order volumes as per company Partner Management :
- Appoint and monitor distributors and agents within the area.
- Ensure timely order processing, dispatches, and payments through partners.
- Resolve channel conflicts and ensure healthy partner Planning & Execution :
- Develop monthly / quarterly sales plans and execute strategies to meet targets.
- Plan and conduct trade promotions, exhibitions, and B2B outreach campaigns.
- Work with internal teams (Warehouse, logistics, finance) to meet client Intelligence :
- Track competitor activity, pricing, and product movement in the wholesale market.
- Collect and analyze feedback from channel partners and large buyers.
- Report on regional market trends and recommend adjustments to product or pricing & Reporting :
- Maintain accurate records of B2B accounts, deals closed, and credit status.
- Submit periodic reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and market feedback.
- Ensure compliance with tax, invoicing, and regulatory norms for B2B & Skills :
- Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, or Commerce (MBA preferred).
- 8 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in textiles, garments.
- Strong network of wholesalers and distributors in the assigned area.
- Proven negotiation and deal-closing skills.
- Ability to travel extensively across the assigned region.
- Familiarity with local textile trade practices and Experience :
- Selling traditional garments like lungis, dhotis, in bulk.
- Working with textile wholesalers, chain distributors, or large-format buyers.
- Exposure to semi-urban and rural B2B textile markets.
