Role Overview
We are seeking a driven Area Sales Manager to lead sales growth, channel development, and brand promotion in the assigned territory. The role involves strategic planning, dealer management, execution of BTL marketing activities, and close coordination with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Retain and expand customer and dealer relationships through consistent engagement.
- Drive sales via BTL marketing activities such as Agri Melas, exhibitions, farmer meets, canopy setups, and training sessions.
- Execute brand and product campaigns with a 360 marketing approach.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and resolve client issues to ensure superior customer service.
- Develop medium- to long-term sales and growth plans for dealers and key accounts.
- Manage brand communication, product training, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Coordinate with internal teams, resellers, and channel partners for sell-in / sell-out and material support.
- Implement trade marketing plans including profiling, promoter-led projects, and channel campaigns.
- Liaise with government institutions to facilitate subsidies and drive institutional sales.
- Ensure market coverage and gather feedback through extensive travel across the assigned territory.
- Monitor receivables and ensure timely collection from dealers and channel partners.
Required Skillsets :
Strong sales and business development skills with proven territory management experience.Knowledge of dealer / channel management and institutional sales.Experience in BTL marketing campaigns, trade promotions, and farmer engagement activities.Excellent communication, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.Ability to develop and implement medium- to long-term sales strategies.Strong analytical skills to assess campaign ROI, competitor activities, and market trends.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and sales reporting.Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.Master's / Bachelors degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field.(ref : iimjobs.com)
