Position Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Vice President - Manufacturing Vertical Sales to lead our business development, brand building, and customer relationship efforts in the manufacturing sector. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing US-based customers, driving strategic initiatives, and achieving sustainable revenue growth. This role demands a dynamic leader with a proven track record of building strong partnerships, fostering alliances, and leading diverse teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Building :
- Develop and execute brand strategies to position the company as a leading solution provider in the manufacturing vertical.
- Establish thought leadership through conferences, whitepapers, webinars, and other industry platforms.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to align brand messaging with industry trends and customer needs.
2. Lead Generation :
Drive lead generation strategies, leveraging digital marketing, events, and partner networks to build a robust sales pipeline.Establish scalable processes for identifying, qualifying, and nurturing high-value opportunities.Use analytics and customer insights to refine lead generation efforts continuously.3. Business Development :
Define and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets within the manufacturing vertical.Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at client organizations.Identify and capitalize on emerging market opportunities and trends in the US manufacturing sector.Work with cross-functional teams to tailor solutions to client requirements, ensuring a high win rate.4. Partnerships and Alliances :
Identify, negotiate, and formalize strategic partnerships and alliances with technology providers, consultants, and industry organizations.Build a network of advisors and influencers to strengthen the company's presence in the US market. (e.g., ISG, Everest, Avasant, KPMG)Foster long-term relationships with key ecosystem players to drive collaborative growth.5. Customer Relationship Management :
Serve as a trusted advisor to US-based manufacturing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term engagement.Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure seamless implementation of solutions and services.Regularly interact with clients to gather feedback, address challenges, and identify upselling opportunities.Qualifications and Experience
Experience : Minimum 15+ years of experience in sales and business development in the manufacturing vertical, with at least 5 years of managing US customers.Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of manufacturing industry dynamics, challenges, and opportunities, particularly in the US market.Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets, expanding market share, and building strategic alliances.Leadership Skills : Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with experience driving cross-functional initiatives.Networking : Extensive network of clients, partners, and advisors in the manufacturing industry.Analytical Mindset : Ability to analyze market trends, customer data, and competitive landscapes to make informed decisions.Communication Skills : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.Education : Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (MBA preferred).
