Position Overview :
We're seeking a strategic, seasoned Media Head responsible for shaping and executing media strategy across both our agency's initiatives and diverse client portfolios. This role involves building and leading a high-performing internal media team, overseeing digital, traditional, paid, and earned media deliverables, and aligning media execution seamlessly with brand strategy.
Key Responsibilities :
Media Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement comprehensive media strategies across clients and agency initiatives - spanning print, broadcast, digital, social, influencer, and content partnerships.
- Lead, mentor, and scale an in-house media team including media planners, buyers, strategists, and creatives.
- Cultivate and manage media relationships , including journalists, media houses, influencers, and platform partners.
- Own crisis communication media strategy , ensuring readiness and swift response planning.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration with PR, creative, performance marketing, and social media teams for unified brand narratives.
Media Planning & Execution
Oversee both traditional and digital media buying , ensuring effective reach, ROI, and budget adherence.Negotiate media placements and partnerships , securing high-impact coverage and optimal pricing.Manage integration of paid, earned, and owned media strategies for holistic coverage and impact.Coordinate media calendars, campaign timelines , and deliverables for both agency-led initiatives and client activations.Analytics, Reporting & Insight
Track and report on media performance using data-driven metrics and insights.Analyze media coverage and campaign effectiveness , identifying opportunities for optimization.Present insights and learnings through post-campaign reports and executive presentations.Client & Agency Representation
Act as the primary media lead for client pitches, strategy presentations , and on-going communications.Contribute to new business development by designing impactful media-driven proposals and demonstrating strategic thinking.Represent the agency and its media function at industry events, panel discussions, and conferences .Qualifications & Skills :
Experience : 6–10 years in media strategy, planning, and execution—preferably in an agency or integrated marketing setup.Leadership Acumen : Proven ability to build and scale a media team and drive cross-functional collaboration.Media Savvy : Deep understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes, trends, platforms, and analytics.Network & Negotiation : Strong relationships with media and influencer ecosystems; skilled at negotiating editorial placements and budgets.Communication : Stellar written, verbal, and presentation skills—adept at stakeholder engagement.Domain Exposure : Experience with sectors like luxury, F&B, fashion, hospitality, lifestyle—highly valued given Brand Talk's client base.Education : Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related fields.
