About the Role :
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project / Scrum Manager Trainee with 2-5 years of professional experience to support project planning, execution, and agile delivery. The role is designed to provide hands-on training in project management and scrum practices, preparing the candidate for future leadership responsibilities in managing end-to-end projects.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and monitoring project activities in alignment with business goals.
- Support Scrum ceremonies such as weekly stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Create sprint reports and Monthly Progress Reports of each project.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, QA, UI / UX, product owners) to ensure smooth delivery of project deliverables.
- Track project progress, identify risks, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Maintain and update project documentation, reports, and dashboards (e.g., Jira / Confluence).
- Leverage expertise in JIRA to maintain project workflows, monitor KPIs, and support Agile ceremonies.
- Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Learn and apply project management methodologies (Agile / Scrum / Waterfall) under the mentorship of senior managers.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.2-5 years of professional work experience (preferably in IT, software development, or project coordination roles).Basic understanding of Agile / Scrum methodologies.Familiarity with project management tools (Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Trello, or similar).Strong organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.Strong ability to work independently with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Preferred Skills (Good to Have) :
Certification in Agile / Scrum (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).Exposure to client interactions or stakeholder management.Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle).Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.(ref : hirist.tech)
