Job description

Responsibilities

Cost estimation for new parts at development stage

Zero base costing & price settlement of the PCB, Electronic part assemblies

Rate changes periodically for RM, Design changes & Conversion changes etc.

Understandings of capacities of electronics parts

  • capacity readiness as per mgmt. volume projections

Cost saving initiatives

Vendor PQCDSM improvements

Competency Requirements

Technical / Functional

  • Proficient in Electrical / Electronic automotive vehicle system.
  • Knowledge of vehicle powertrain and the interfaces arising out of electrification.
  • Knowledge about automotive industry standards and regulations, applicable globally.
  • Having thorough knowledge in electronic parts, assemblies & its processes.
  • Good understanding of all applicable standards / regulations and their application
  • Experience in quality systems of electronic components for automotive application CDI, ECU, voltage Regulator, sensors, digital instrument clusters (speedometers)
  • Competition bench marking with similar parts, VA / VE
  • PFMEA
  • Should have good engagement with Tier 1 & Semiconductor Manufacturing and distributors
  • Behavioral
  • Specific expertise required for functional area
  • Purchasing of vehicle components with win-win situation to Company & Vendor partners
