Business Analyst Treasury (Murex) Overview :
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst Treasury (Murex) with deep expertise in treasury products, financial markets, and Murex platform functionalities (preferably SaaS deployments). The role involves bridging business and technology teams to ensure optimal system usage, efficient workflows, and continuous enhancement of treasury operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, stakeholder management abilities, and hands-on Murex configuration experience.
Key Responsibilities :
User Support & Training :
- Provide day-to-day L1 / L2 support for Treasury teams on Murex-related queries, issues, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct user training sessions to improve adoption, ensuring users understand system features, workflows, and reporting capabilities.
- Maintain user guides, process documentation, and training materials.
Business Requirements Analysis :
Collaborate with Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and other business units to gather detailed requirements for new functionalities or enhancements.Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications for Murex development and configuration teams.Conduct gap analysis between current system capabilities and evolving business needs.Murex Configuration & Change Management :
Perform controlled, well-documented configuration changes (e.g., product setup, workflow rules, trade validation rules, risk measures, market data mappings).Ensure changes are implemented with minimal disruption to existing processes.Maintain version control and audit trails for all configuration changes.Testing & Validation :
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and regression testing for Murex system updates, patches, and enhancements.Coordinate with QA and development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.Validate functional and non-functional requirements post-deployment.Reporting & Analytics :
Design and generate Murex-based reports for trade positions, risk exposures, P&L analysis, and regulatory compliance.Collaborate with data teams to improve analytics and dashboard capabilities.Stakeholder Management & Communication :
Serve as a primary point of contact between business teams and Murex technical teams.Facilitate workshops, requirement walkthroughs, and UAT sessions.Provide timely updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issue resolution.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Education : Bachelors or Masters degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience : Minimum 5+ years as a Business Analyst in Treasury or Capital Markets, with hands-on Murex experience (preferably SaaS deployments).
Domain Knowledge : Strong understanding of treasury products FX, derivatives, money markets, fixed income, and associated risk / settlement processes.
Technical Skills :
Murex configuration & workflow designSQL for data extraction & reportingKnowledge of integration protocols (e.g., FpML, XML, MQ) is a plusSoft Skills : Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
