Role Purpose
The Group Commercial Head will be the strategic custodian of all commercial, procurement, and contract management functions across the Adani Group. This role will ensure synergies, cost efficiencies, and financial discipline across multiple listed and unlisted entities, aligning with the Groups long-term vision of sustainable growth and global competitiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute the Group-wide commercial strategy, ensuring alignment across all businesses.
- Drive synergies across verticals (energy, infrastructure, airports, cement, media, agri, defense, and digital).
- Provide commercial governance while respecting operational independence of listed companies.
- Lead centralized procurement for large-scale categories (cement, steel, fuel, logistics, IT, renewable components).
- Negotiate bulk contracts and strategic alliances to unlock group-level cost advantages.
- Develop and manage global vendor partnerships with transparency and compliance.
- Standardize commercial contracts, SLAs, and procurement policies across all entities.
- Strengthen compliance and mitigate legal / financial risks through robust frameworks.
- Align contracts with international best practices, especially in infrastructure, energy, and defense.
- Optimize working capital, credit terms, and payment cycles across subsidiaries.
- Benchmark costs, productivity, and commercial KPIs at a group level.
- Enable cross-leveraging of resources (e.g., port infrastructure for exports, renewable energy for internal consumption).
- Act as the bridge between business CEOs and group leadership on commercial issues.
- Collaborate closely with Group CFO, Treasury, Legal, Supply Chain, and Business Unit Heads.
- Build strong external relationships with governments, regulators, and global suppliers.
Candidate Profile
Experience : 20-25+ years in senior commercial / procurement / finance leadership roles in large conglomerates, infra, energy, manufacturing, or global Large-scale procurement & contract management
