About the Job
- This function resides in the PX COE People Operations and supports systems, processes, and policies related to the employee life-cycle.
- Responsibilities include employee pre / onboarding, issuing employment letters, personal and employment data changes in Workday, legal compliance, employment verification, and offboarding.
- Acts as the first point of contact for employees for PX-related inquiries through the PX Help Desk and local office.
- The role requires a customer-centric perspective, collaboration with the global Trimble PX team, and proactive communication with PX colleagues across businesses and countries.
- Based in Chennai, supporting all Trimble divisions and regions globally, reporting to the People Operations Manager - APAC.
Essential Job Functions
Global AskPX Help Desk Support
Assist employees globally by answering questions and providing timely support.Interact with employees via the query management tool, telephone, email, online chat, or in person.Collaborate with COEs and PX Business Partners to deliver an outstanding employee experience.Support multiple countries by facilitating training on the service desk application to internal stakeholders globally.Maintain, update, and generate reports on key metrics and operational dashboards in coordination with the COEs.Regional and Global People Operations
Execute day-to-day operational tasks accurately and timely, aligned with standards.Maintain personnel records in the HRIS system (Workday) and physical copies as required by local laws.Update HRIS and ensure real-time updates of all employee records, maintain employee master data, and audit all mandatory policy acknowledgements.Drive operational excellence by maintaining up-to-date standard operating procedures.Ensure all service standards are met as per the agreed Service Level Agreements.Update Workday with new hire compensation information for payroll processing.Process time off submissions and administer leave policies for India.Report monthly metrics and related dashboards.India Onboarding and Orientations
Oversee and facilitate onboarding and induction of new joinees.Ensure a best-in-class onboarding experience.Collaborate with COEs, hiring managers, and PX Business Partners to deliver an outstanding experience.Track mandatory training completions and organize new hire connect sessions with site leadership.Ensure new hire surveys are rolled out per defined timelines.Qualifications
Required
Bachelors degree in business administration, human resources, or a related field and 2+ years of relevant HR experience with HRIS platform experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.Experience in a matrixed, decentralized global organization.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Proven analytical and interpersonal abilities with attention to detail.Excellent judgment, accountability, and problem-solving skills.Empathy and a customer-relations mindset aligned with Trimbles culture.Strong time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.Passion for human resources and eagerness to learn.Effective interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.Proficient in administration systems, software, and applications.Ability to promote a positive work atmosphere through professional interaction.Preferred
