The Senior Human Resource Executive, India will be the primary HR business partner for all India-based employees. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth execution of all HR operational activities, maintaining positive employee relations, and ensuring strict compliance with Indian labour laws, while working closely with the management team in France. The incumbent will serve as the local HR expert and a key liaison between the India team and the international management.
Responsibilities
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Serve as the trusted point of contact for all India employees, addressing day-to-day HR queries, grievances, and sensitive employee relations issues in a professional and timely manner
- Work to maintain a positive and productive work environment, aligned with the company's global culture and values
- Coach and guide local managers on employee matters, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement plans, ensuring adherence to internal policies and legal requirements
- Drive and support local employee engagement and wellness initiatives
- Oversee onboarding, performance management, training, employee relations, and exit processes.
- Drive retention strategies and ensure a positive employee experience.
Performance & Talent Management
Manage the end-to-end local Performance Management Cycle, including goal setting, mid-year check-ins, performance reviews, and calibration sessions, in coordination with the Manager in FranceSupport managers in the development and documentation of performance improvement plans (PIPs)Coordinate local training and development logistics based on global directives or local needs assessmentIdentify skill gaps and implement training programs (technical, behavioural, leadership).Support career growth and succession planning initiatives.Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
Oversee and administer the monthly payroll inputs process in coordination with Finance / external payroll vendor, ensuring accuracy and timely submissionManage employee benefits programs (e.g., medical insurance, retirement funds, statutory schemes like PF, ESI) and administer leaves / attendance tracking for the India teamMaintain highly accurate and confidential employee data, personnel files, and HR records (both physical and digital) for the India entityFacilitate onboarding and offboarding processes (excluding sourcing / hiring), including induction, documentation, and exit formalitiesCompliance & Policy Management
Ensure 100% compliance with all applicable central and state-level labour laws and statutory regulations in India (e.g., Factories Act, Shops and Establishments Act, Payment of Wages Act, POSH Act)Act as the local subject matter expert (SME) on Indian labour law, providing proactive guidance to the French manager on potential risks and changesAssist in the local implementation and communication of global and local HR policies and procedures, ensuring consistency and fairness.Ensure audit readiness and adherence to corporate and legal policies.Track and report HR KPIs (turnover / attrition, staffing, ADR / ADC, payroll / bonus etc.).Improve HR processes through automation and shared-services best practices in line with group strategyDevelop and implement HR policies and programs aligned with business goals (focus on BP 2030)Act as HR advisor to delivery managers, project managers, and leadership teams.Profile
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree (e.g., MBA in HR) is highly preferred6-7 years of progressive HR experience, preferably within a multinational company (IT Consulting MNC) or an IT Consulting firmDemonstrated experience in a role with international reporting lines (e.g., reporting to a manager outside of India / APAC) and managing an Indian workforceProven expertise in HR Operations, Employee Relations, and Indian Statutory Compliance (PF, ESI, Gratuity, POSH, etc.)Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively liaise with local employees, external vendors, and international management (France).Deep knowledge of Indian Labour Laws and compliance requirementsStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in HRIS / HRMS systems and MS Office SuiteHigh degree of professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
