Job Summary :
The General Manager - Operations, Sales and Business Development will oversee the end-to-end management of facility services operations and lead the business development strategy to drive revenue growth. This role requires a strategic leader with proven expertise in facilities management, client servicing, and operational excellence, coupled with a strong sales orientation to generate new business opportunities.
Key Management :
- Lead and manage daily operations across multiple facility management sites to ensure service quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for housekeeping, technical services, security, and other support functions.
- Monitor manpower deployment, productivity, and vendor performance to achieve operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with statutory, safety, and environmental regulations across all sites.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality standards.
Sales & Business Development
Identify and develop new business opportunities in the facility management space.Prepare proposals, tenders, and client presentations to secure new contracts.Build long-term relationships with corporate clients, developers, and institutions.Develop and execute annual sales targets and revenue plans in alignment with business goals.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements with clients and partners.Leadership & Strategy
Lead, mentor, and develop operations and sales teams for high performance.Contribute to strategic planning and P&L management to drive sustainable growth.Coordinate with finance, HR, procurement, and technical teams for smooth operations.Analyze business performance metrics and prepare regular management reports.Represent the company at industry events and networking forums to strengthen brand positioning.Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Facility Management (MBA preferred).10-20 years of experience in operations and sales within the facility management, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.Proven track record of managing large-scale facility portfolios and achieving sales targets.Strong leadership, negotiation, and client relationship management skills.Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in MS Office, CRM tools, and facility management software.(ref : iimjobs.com)
