Head of IT Infrastructure is responsible for shaping and executing the company's technology roadmap, with primary responsibility over IT infrastructure, network operations, and regulatory compliance. This role ensures the company's foundational systems are secure, scalable, aligned with business goals, and compliant with relevant laws, standards, and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities :
- Help define and operationalize the technology infrastructure strategy : manage data centers, cloud / hybrid architectures, servers, storage, virtualization, network (LAN / WAN), and edge networks.
- Oversee the deployment, monitoring, performance, and security of network systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and resilience.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce policies, procedures, and standards for infrastructure, network security, access control, and device management.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and industry standards (for example : ISO 27001, GDPR, SOX, PCI-DSS, data privacy laws, etc.), especially in listed companies.
- Lead risk management activities : identify infrastructure and network risks / vulnerabilities; conduct regular audits, vulnerability assessments, and remediation.
- Oversee disaster recovery (DR), business continuity planning (BCP), backup strategies, and ensure system recovery readiness.
- Manage third-party vendors, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs) for infrastructure and security partnerships.
- Collaborate with legal, audit, risk, and security teams to prepare for internal and external audits, regulatory filings, and compliance reviews.
- Mentor and lead teams of infrastructure, network engineers, and security professionals; ensure technical excellence and knowledge sharing.
- Track emerging technologies and industry best practices and recommend upgrades or migration paths (e.g., cloud migration, zero-trust networking, network segmentation).
- Monitor infrastructure budget, cost optimization, capacity planning, and lifecycle management (hardware / software refreshes).
Required Qualifications & Experience :
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related field. Master's degree or MBA is a plus.10- 16 years of experience in IT, experience in listed company is preferred.Prior experience in a listed company or similarly regulated environment, demonstrating understanding of compliance and regulatory considerations.Strong knowledge of infrastructure technologies (servers, storage, virtualization, cloud platforms), network architecture (routing, switching, VPN, SD-WAN etc.), and security controls.Demonstrated experience implementing compliance frameworks, performing security audits, vulnerability management, and risk mitigation.Hands-on experience or responsibility in disaster recovery / business continuity planning and execution.(ref : hirist.tech)
