Responsibilities Make outbound calls and follow up with borrowers to ensure timely EMI / loan repayments.
Track overdue accounts and update daily repayment status in internal systems.
Coordinate with field collection agencies for on-ground recovery of higher DPD cases.
Negotiate repayment plans, settlements, and restructuring options when required.
Maintain accurate collection records and prepare basic MIS reports.
Ensure adherence to fair collection practices, regulatory guidelines, and company policies.
Support the legal team in cases of default, arbitration, or escalations.
Assist in improving digital collection tools such as automated reminders, IVR, WhatsApp workflows, etc.
Skills Required
Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
Basic understanding of loan products, EMI structures, and repayment cycles.
Proficiency in Excel and CRM systems for tracking and reporting.
Calm, patient, and ethical approach while dealing with borrowers under stress.
Ability to manage high-volume follow-ups and work under timelines.
Qualification & Experience
Graduate or Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, or related fields.
4 to 8 years of experience in collections, recovery, or lending operations (NBFC, fintech, P2P platforms preferred).
Experience with early-stage, mid-stage, and late-stage collections is an added advantage.
