About the Role :
- We are seeking a dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead and drive sales activities across a designated geographic region.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing a team of sales representatives, building strong customer relationships, and expanding market presence.
Key Responsibilities :
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve regional sales targets and growth objectives.Manage, mentor, and motivate a team of sales executives or representatives to maximize their performance.Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships by understanding client needs and providing excellent service.Identify new business opportunities and markets to expand the company's reach.Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adapt sales tactics accordingly.Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to senior management.Coordinate with marketing and product teams to align sales strategies with promotional activities and product launches.Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and ethical standards.Handle escalated customer issues and resolve them promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.Organize and participate in trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events to enhance brand visibility.Required Skills & Qualifications : Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
MBA is a plus.4+ years of experience in sales, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a similar role.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.Strong negotiation and closing skills.Ability to analyze sales data and market trends to make informed decisions.Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned territory.Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite(ref : iimjobs.com)
