Role Overview :
The Assistant Manager – Human Resources will be responsible for managing the complete HR lifecycle of company. This includes talent acquisition, learning & development, employee engagement, and HR operations. The role demands a proactive, hands-on HR professional who can independently execute and improve processes in line with organizational growth and global HR practices.You will serve as the go-to HR resource for the leadership and employees, ensuring alignment between business goals and people practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle : sourcing, screening, scheduling, offer negotiation, and onboarding
- Collaborate with department heads to define role requirements and build effective hiring pipelines
- Utilize job portals, LinkedIn, referrals, and agency partners to attract high-quality talent
- Build and maintain an active talent pool for future hiring needs
- Own pre-onboarding and induction processes to ensure smooth candidate experience
2. Learning & Development (L&D)
Conduct training need analysis (TNA) in collaboration with department headsPlan, schedule, and implement internal and external training programsPartner with external trainers, certification bodies, and learning platforms for capability-building initiativesTrack training effectiveness through post-program feedback and performance metricsManage mandatory training programs (e.g., ISO awareness, code of conduct, information security)3. HR Operations
Maintain accurate employee records and handle documentation (offer letters, contracts, confirmation, exit)Oversee payroll inputs, attendance tracking, and leave management in coordination with FinanceManage statutory compliance support (PF, PT, ESI, etc.) through external vendorsHandle employee grievances, policy queries, and HR helpdesk responsibilitiesEnsure smooth offboarding experience including exit interviews, F&F coordination, and documentation4. Employee Engagement & Culture
Plan and implement employee engagement initiatives : rewards & recognition, team-building, town halls, etc.Support internal communications and organizational announcementsChampion employee well-being and support a positive, inclusive work environmentDrive annual employee feedback surveys and support action planningSupport HR branding and internal campaigns in coordination with the marketing team5. HR Policies, Systems & Compliance
Ensure compliance with company policies and labor lawsMaintain and update the employee handbook, code of conduct, and HR SOPsContribute to HR audits, ISO compliance (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, etc.), and documentation as requiredDrive automation and continuous improvement across HR processesQualifications & Experience
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.Master’s degree / MBA in Human Resources Management or Post-Graduate Diploma in HR (PGDHRM) from a recognized institute. (Preferred)Experience :
6–8 years of progressive experience in HR functions (Recruitment, Operations & L&D)Prior experience in a mid / large sized organization or service-based company preferredExperience working in a standalone or lead HR role is an advantageSkills & Competencies
