Role Overview
We're looking for a dynamic and driven National Sales Manager to spearhead our Luggage & Backpack category. The ideal candidate will own sales strategy, distribution expansion, and trade relationships : driving aggressive growth across GT (General Trade) and Modern Trade channels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a national sales strategy for the luggage and backpack category
- Drive market expansion through strong distributor and retail network building across GT and MT
- Identify and onboard regional and national channel partners, modern trade chains, and institutional clients
- Lead and motivate a high-performing sales team across zones to deliver revenue and volume targets
- Manage P&L responsibility for the category : pricing, promotions, and trade marketing initiatives
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to identify new growth opportunities
- Build strong relationships with trade partners to ensure brand visibility, placement, and sell-through
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and product teams to ensure smooth execution of launches and campaigns
Requirements
7–12 years of proven sales experience in Luggage, Travel Gear, or Lifestyle Accessories categoryStrong background in General Trade and Modern Trade expansion, with a track record of scaling distributionExperience with leading brands such as VIP, Safari, Samsonite, American Tourister, Skybags, or similar is strongly preferredEntrepreneurial mindset with high ownership, agility, and passion for building something newExcellent leadership, negotiation, and analytical skillsHigh willingness to travel across IndiaMandatory Requirements
