A National Sales Manager develops and implements sales strategies to achieve company revenue goals across multiple regions, oversees sales teams by setting targets and providing guidance, analyzes sales data to identify growth opportunities, and builds relationships with key clients.

This senior management role typically requires extensive sales experience, strong leadership, and a background in business or marketing, often at the bachelor's or master's degree level.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Strategy & Planning : Create and execute national sales plans and strategies to meet business objectives and revenue targets.
  • Team Management : Recruit, train, mentor, and manage sales managers and teams across different territories, setting performance goals and providing coaching.
  • Sales Operations : Supervise sales activities nationwide, ensuring consistent processes and quality customer service to build long-term client relationships.
  • Performance Analysis : Analyze sales data, metrics, and market trends to identify growth opportunities, address challenges, and improve overall sales performance.
  • Client Relationships : Build and maintain relationships with key national accounts and major clients, understanding their business needs to drive profitable growth.
  • Reporting : Monitor and report on national sales performance and revenue goals to top management.
