Job description

Strategic Partnership Development

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard strategic B2B marketplace partners (Flipkart, Zepto, Myntra, Amazon Business, etc.)
  • Develop comprehensive go-to-market strategies tailored for each marketplace platform
  • Negotiate partnership terms, commission structures, service level agreements, and payment terms
  • Create marketplace-specific business plans with clear revenue targets, growth milestones, and sourcing strategies
  • Establish vendor management protocols and quality standards for marketplace operations

Product Sourcing & Cost Management

  • Knowledge of end-to-end product sourcing initiatives with focus on trims, accessories, and manufacturing components
  • Conduct comprehensive cost analysis including raw materials, manufacturing, logistics, and overhead expenses
  • Knowledge of pricing structures, minimum order quantities, and payment terms with suppliers
  • Implement cost optimization strategies while maintaining quality standards and delivery timelines
  • Manage product lifecycle costing from concept to market delivery
  • Knowledge of supplier audits, quality assessments, and compliance verification
  • Account Management Excellence

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with marketplace buying teams and procurement departments
  • Serve as primary liaison for top-tier B2B clients across all marketplace channels
  • Develop account penetration strategies to maximize brand presence and category share
  • Conduct quarterly business reviews with key stakeholders to assess performance and identify expansion opportunities
  • Manage supplier scorecards and performance metrics to ensure consistent quality and delivery
  • Revenue Growth & Performance Management

  • Own P&L responsibility for B2B marketplace business segment including sourcing costs and margins
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets through strategic account expansion and cost optimization
  • Implement dynamic pricing strategies considering sourcing costs, market positioning, and competitive landscape
  • Execute promotional campaigns and seasonal sourcing strategies to maximize marketplace performance
  • Manage inventory turnover and working capital optimization
  • Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration

  • Partner with product development teams to align sourcing capabilities with market requirements
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless order fulfillment, quality control, and customer experience
  • Work closely with supply chain teams to optimize procurement processes and vendor relationships
  • Coordinate with finance on contract negotiations, credit approvals, payment terms, and cost accounting
  • Support marketing initiatives with market intelligence on sourcing trends and cost implications
  • Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning

  • Conduct comprehensive competitive analysis including pricing, sourcing strategies, and market positioning
  • Analyze B2B customer behavior, preferences, and purchasing patterns across marketplace channels
  • Develop category-specific sourcing strategies based on marketplace dynamics and customer requirements
  • Track supplier market conditions, capacity constraints, and emerging sourcing opportunities
  • Present regular reports to executive leadership on business performance, sourcing insights, and strategic recommendations
