Position Summary :
The Regional Sales Manager – Government will be responsible for driving government business for advanced Surgical Robotic Systems across central, state, and institutional healthcare sectors. The role requires deep understanding of government procurement processes, tenders, and policies to achieve sales targets and ensure strong market penetration. The candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders into government hospitals, and key opinion leaders to establish long-term partnerships and position the organization as a trusted partner in robotic-assisted surgery for public healthcare infrastructure.
Job Description :
- Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities within government hospitals, defense institutions, AIIMS, and state-run healthcare facilities.
- Lead and manage the entire tendering process, from pre-bid engagement, technical qualification, and pricing strategy, to closure and post-installation compliance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with procurement authorities, hospital administrators, surgeons, and government decision-makers.
- Work with cross-functional teams (clinical, technical, and marketing) to deliver solution-based selling and ensure compliance with government specifications.
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends to provide strategic inputs for government sector growth.
- Represent the company in government meetings, healthcare forums, and medical conferences to build visibility for surgical robotic systems.
- Ensure timely reporting, pipeline management, and forecast accuracy in alignment with organizational goals.
- Drive key account management for government institutions to secure repeat and long-term business.
Knowledge, and Skills
Strong knowledge of government procurement processes, tender management, and institutional sales.Familiarity with healthcare ecosystem, especially high-value capital medical equipment.Excellent relationship-building skills with government stakeholders and senior clinicians.Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and manage complex sales cycles.Strategic mindset with focus on long-term government partnerships.Proficiency in MS Office, CRM, and tender documentation tools.Qualification :
Bachelor's degree in science, Biomedical Engineering, or related medical / technical field (mandatory).MBA in Sales / Marketing or Healthcare Management (preferred).8–12 years of sales experience in government / healthcare sector, with at least 4–5 years handling capital medical equipment (experience in surgical robotics / endoscopy preferred).Proven track record in winning large-value government tenders and contracts.Job Function :
