Strategic Development Manager :
The candidate will generate new acquisitions, joint venture investments and development opportunities. This position will evaluate each new hotel opportunity to determine whether the hotel meets certain key criteria.
Reporting to the Founders' Office, the candidate will serve in a deal structuring capacity and complete investment analysis, underwriting, coordination and completion of due diligence, contract and partner negotiations.
Job responsibilities :
- Manage all aspects of the development process from lead generation to handling various lead and queries across platforms till closure.
- Understands legal contracts, negotiations, term sheet closures and owner- operator working relationship.
- Create financial and numerical working models based on the deal structuring scenario.
- Coordinate with departments to discuss the leads and project development.
- Coordinate meetings and efforts related to hotel acquisition or various other on-boarding models and other transactions.
- Assist and be involved in preparing the financial and market feasibility analysis of project including competition analysis to present the deal flow outcome in favour of the brand.
- Work closely with partners to obtain project entitlements and permits, including meetings with local jurisdictions to negotiate legal and liaison issues.
- Represent the brand at various forums and venues to interface with hotel brand companies, Tourism Dept of State, Development portals etc.to present the brand and explore opportunities in including negotiation of key business terms and related agreements in various geographies.
- Oversee RFP and contracting process for legal tenders and state tourism driven bids.
Skills and competencies :
In-depth knowledge of the hotel industry, specifically of hotel brands and their market positioning.Good understanding of the real estate industry, including hotel valuation and investment analysis.Prior experience in development will be preferred but is not mandatory.Strong command over English language is a must.Ability to effectively persuade and support a position in a professional manner.Exceptional critical thinking, sound judgment, and strong business acumen.Keen attention-to-detail, high degree of initiative and resourcefulness, as well as a service-oriented attitude.Strong interpersonal and organizational skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.Ability to travel extensively.Skills Required
