The Role
As Business Development Manager, you will be the hunter who builds our pipeline and drives new business across multiple geographies. This is a full-cycle sales role where you own prospecting, qualification, discovery, and closing deals independently.
Key Responsibilities
1.
Pipeline Generation & Prospecting
Build ICP lists across India, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Australia, US, UK, Europe, Singapore, and Asia
Research and identify ideal prospects (founders, CTOs, VPs of Engineering, Product Heads)
Conduct outbound prospecting via cold calling, LinkedIn, and email
Qualify leads based on budget, need, and timeline
Maintain pipeline of 40-60 active prospects at all times

Discovery & Sales Conversations
Conduct discovery calls to understand client needs
Position 86 Agency's services (custom development, dedicated teams, DevOps, cloud, AI / ML)
Identify pain points and map to solutions
Run consultative selling conversations (value-first)

Deal Structuring & Closing
Prepare proposals and present solutions to prospects
Negotiate terms, pricing, and scope
Close deals and get signatures
Manage deal velocity and ensure timely closes
Update CRM religiously with all interactions and next steps
4.
Target Achievement
Hit monthly revenue targets ($100K / month building to higher targets)
Achieve quarterly and annual quotas
Provide accurate sales forecasting
Required Experience & Skills
Must-Have Experience :
3-5+ years selling IT services (custom development, software solutions, digital transformation)
OR digital marketing / agency sales
OR software development / SaaS sales
Proven track record closing deals $20K-150K+
Experience doing cold calling and outbound prospecting (not just inbound)
Service-based background (understand delivery timelines, team scaling, project complexity)
Must-Have Skills :
Excellent communication – Can pitch, negotiate, and close over calls and emails
Research capability – Can do your own research on prospects, industries, and pain points
Cold calling mastery – Comfortable picking up the phone, handling rejection, and converting calls to meetings
Strategic thinking – Can identify opportunities and position solutions (not just order-taking)
Ownership mindset – High accountability, doesn't blame external factors, owns outcomes
Nice-to-Have :
Experience selling to US / UK / EU / Asia markets
Experience with custom Software Development, DevOps, cloud, or dedicated team offerings
Familiarity with sales tools (HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator)
Experience in FinTech, SaaS, or logistics sectors
