About the Role
The PS Classroom Assistant – Learning Support assists the class and specialist teachers in creating an inclusive, supportive, and creative learning environment for all students – in particular neurodiverse children and others who may require additional learning support. They play a vital role in enabling students to access the curriculum and progress with their learning and development.

About You
The successful applicant will have a genuine interest in and warmth for assisting children in a Waldorf classroom setting. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be a good observer and listener, and able to follow the teacher’s methodology. With your positive outlook and general attitude, you are willing and able to find ways of meeting and supporting each child where they are at. Experience working with neurodiverse children or commitment and passion to learn as required is a must.
Key Selection Criteria :
Applicants must hold a current “not-prohibited” SA Working with Children Check and provide / obtain RRHAN-EC and Provide First Aid in an Education and Care Setting certificates before commencement of employment.

This is a temporary part-time position for the 2026 school year, comprising 20 hours over 5 days per week for 40 weeks (38 term weeks + 2 weeks school-based conference). Remuneration is based on the current Willunga Waldorf School Enterprise Agreement.
