About the Role

Permanent / ESO Grade 3

Monday to Friday – 27.5 hours per week / 8 : 50am – 3 : 00pm

41 weeks per year (during school terms)

We are seeking an experienced Education Support Officer Inclusion to join our Primary Campus – Reception to Year 6. The successful candidate will work in partnership with teachers and leadership to provide educational services to students. This role requires a skilled individual who can work closely with students to support them to navigate challenges and reach their full potential at school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist student learning under the supervision of a teacher.
  • Assisting teachers prepare, implement and supervise classrooms and / or intervention programs.
  • With the teachers’ support and approval, apply personal knowledge and initiative to suggest modifications to educational programs to meet the learning needs of specific students.
  • Supervise and care for students with formally identified special needs in accordance with Personalised Plans for Learning (PPL).
  • Assist with identifying student learning or behaviour challenges.
  • Actively participate in school activities, events, staff and team meetings, required training and professional development.

Essential Requirements

  • A Certificate IV in Education Support (or equivalent) and / or relevant demonstrated knowledge and experience in a comparable role is essential. Prior experience working in an education environment is highly desirable.
  • Hold a current acceptable Working with Children Check (WWCC) clearance & screening to work in Catholic Education South Australia.
  • Hold current certification in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect in Education and Care Settings.
  • Hold a First Aid Qualification.
