Job description

Role : VP of Engineering.

Location : Kolkata / Bangalore.

Key Qualifications :

Qualifications / Skills :

BE / BS / BTech in Computer Science or a related field from a Tier I or Tier II university.
15 + years of total experience with at least 5 years hands-on experience in software development and system architecture and at least 2 years in leadership roles.

Requirements :

Hands-on experience in analysis, design, coding, implementation, scaling and maintenance of complex high scale distributed systems.

Must have extensive hands on experience writing production grade code in Python with various Python frameworks (Flask / Django / Twisted), NodeJS, GoLang.

Expertise in any of the following : C / C++, PHP, Angular 10+, Javascript Typescript.

Expertise in Java 8+ and Spring Boot.

Good experience in MySQL, Aurora DB, MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis etc.

Experience in Scaled systems using RabbitMQ / Kafka.

Knowledge of AWS API Gateways, AWS Lambda, Azure functions, Docker, Kubernetes, NGINX, Jenkins, Linux based systems.

Knowledge of RESTful APIs, caching concepts, the HTTP protocol and general web architecture.

Have built real-life applications on Microservices Architecture, CI / CD, Container Orchestration with Docker and Kubernetes.

A solid foundation in software design, data structures and algorithms, and strong analytical and debugging skills.

Strong organization and prioritization skills along with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.

Strong technical leadership, experience in growing teams and leads.

Prior experience working in a leadership role in a technology start-up is a plus.
