Assistant Manager - GIS

Position Summary

Responsible for preparing and coordinating Forest and Wildlife Diversion proposals, including map collection, georeferencing, area calculations, and GIS mapping. Ensures quality submission on the PARIVESH portal and supports environmental planning. Requires expertise in ArcGIS, AutoCAD Map, Global Mapper, and MS Office.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

• Collection & Downloading of Cadastral / Village Maps from available public domain / concern departments.
• Downloading of Survey of India (SOI) toposheets from available public domain.
• Georeferencing of Cadastral / Village maps & SOI toposheet.
• Creation of forest area layers.
• Forest & non-forest area calculation statement preparation for FDP submission.
• Preparation of DGPS, SOI, Layout maps with required information like village wise, Survey Nos. wise, required forest & non-forest area details, DGPS coordinates etc.
• 3D Google map preparation of required forest diversion area.
• Preparation of SOI map showing transmission alignment and relevant information.
• The candidate should be well conversant about preparation and submission of the Forest & Wildlife proposals on PARIVESH.
