Chief Investment Officer (CIO) Fundraising & Investor Relations (AIF Category II) the Role
We are seeking a high-impact Chief Investment Officer (CIO) to lead the entire fundraising & investor relations vertical for our AIF Category II fund (600 Cr).
The CIO will be responsible for raising capital from HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, Institutional Investors, and Global Investors and will own the full lifecycle of capital formation strategy, outreach, relationship management, deal closure, investor communication, and ongoing IR.
Key & Capital Formation
- Lead the end-to-end fundraising strategy for the AIF Cat II fund (600 Cr).
Raise capital from : - HNIs
- UHNIs
- Family Offices
- Institutional Investors
- Corporate Treasuries
- Global Investors (NRI, offshore, FO, PE / VC LP pools)
- Build a strong investor pipeline and drive continuous outreach, roadshows, investor sessions, and fund presentations.
- Convert investor interest into closed capital commitments.
Investor Relations (IR)
Act as the single point of contact for all existing and prospective investors.Manage LP communication, reporting, updates, fund performance decks, and quarterly updates.Ensure compliance and transparency with investors throughout the fund lifecycle.Build long-term, repeatable relationships that result in multi-round commitments.Strategic & Leadership Responsibilities
Own capital strategy for all existing and future funds.Work with Investment, Compliance, and Finance teams to align fundraising with fund deployment.Represent the fund at investor forums, wealth offices, conferences, and global investment events.Ideal Candidate Profile
8 to 16+ years of experience in Fundraising / Investor Relations / Private Equity / Wealth Management / AIF fundraising.Proven track record of raising capital from HNIs, UHNIs, Family Offices, or Institutions (India & global).Strong network across :
Wealth ecosystemsFamily office networksAlternative investment investorsInstitutional LPsExperience working with AIF Cat I / II / III, PMS, PE / VC funds, or high-ticket investment products.Excellent relationship management & communication skills.Strong understanding of fund structures, terms, regulations, risk, and compliance.(ref : iimjobs.com)
