- Strategic Planning and Advisory
Develop tailored strategies and roadmaps for clients to manage their carbon footprint, including identifying opportunities for carbon offsetting and reduction in the Indian market
Conduct feasibility assessments for clients looking to enter the Indian carbon market, including analyzing market trends, policy developments, and regulatory requirementsProvide informed recommendations to clients on carbon pricing, carbon credits, and other market-based mechanisms for reducing greenhouse gas emissionsCarbon Market AnalysisConduct in-depth analysis of the Indian carbon market, including supply and demand dynamics, market trends, and regulatory frameworks
Analyze historical and projected data on carbon credits, including Certified Emission Reductions (CERs), Verified Emission Reductions (VERs), and other market-based instrumentsIdentify opportunities for clients to generate and trade carbon credits, including through the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and other international carbon market mechanismsPolicy and Regulatory AnalysisStay up-to-date with Indian and international carbon market policies, regulations, and incentives, and provide strategic advice to clients on navigating regulatory frameworks to optimize carbon market opportunities
Analyze the impact of policy developments, such as the Perform, Achieve and Trade (PAT) scheme and the National Clean Energy Fund, on the Indian carbon marketCarbon Credit Project Development and VerificationAssist clients in developing and verifying carbon credits, including conducting baseline studies, monitoring and reporting emissions reductions, and ensuring compliance with international carbon market standards
Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for carbon credit generation, including through energy efficiency, renewable energy, and other greenhouse gas reduction projectsPrepare Project Design Documents (PDDs) and other relevant documents required for the development of carbon offset projects, including :Project Idea Notes (PINs)
Project Implementation Reports (PIRs)Monitoring ReportsVerification ReportsEnsure that all project documentation is compliant with relevant national and international carbon market standards, such as the CCTS, CDM and VCSCollaborate with clients to develop project proposals, including project descriptions, budgets, and timelinesFinancial ModellingDevelop financial models to assess the viability of carbon offset projects, including calculating the net present value (NPV), internal rate of return (IRR), and payback period of projects
Conduct sensitivity analyses to test the robustness of project financials to changes in key assumptions, such as carbon credit prices and project costsIdentify opportunities for clients to optimize the financial performance of their carbon offset projects, including through revenue streams, cost savings, and financing optionsRegulatory, Commercial and Financial Due DiligenceAnalyze bid opportunities for carbon offset projects, including requests for proposals (RFPs), tenders, and competitive bidding processes
Develop competitive bidding strategies for clients, considering market dynamics, client capabilities, and value propositionCollaborate with cross-functional teams to prepare bid proposals, ensuring compliance with technical specifications, commercial requirements, and contractual termsProvide transaction advisory services to clients, including negotiating contracts, conducting due diligence, and closing dealsStakeholder EngagementCollaborate with government agencies, industry associations, research institutions, and other key stakeholders to foster strategic partnerships and drive collaborative initiatives in the carbon market space

Contribute to the development of thought leadership content, whitepapers, and industry reports to showcase expertise and establish the organization as a leader in the fieldQualifications :
MBA / Master's degree in engineering, renewable energy, environmental science, or a related fieldMinimum of 6-8 years of experience in renewable energy consulting, project development, or a similar roleGood understanding of national and international carbon markets, low-carbon energy technologies, carbon emission offset methodologiesStrong knowledge of emission reduction and renewable energy policies, regulations, and market dynamics at the local, regional, and international levelsExperience in working with multi / bi-lateral institutions in their clean energy initiativesGood understanding and working experience in carrying out assignments in the green hydrogen / green ammonia, energy storage, renewable energy as well as electric vehicle infrastructureProven track record in leading and delivering consulting projects on time and within budgetExceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking abilitiesProficiency in financial modeling and project valuation techniquesExcellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersDemonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple stakeholders.Skills Required
