Role Description
We are hiring multiple senior professionals in Capital Markets & Land Acquisition for Real Estate Developer and Global Property Consulting Companies to drive high-value land transactions, structure complex deals, and accelerate our growth strategy in Mumbai. These roles blend capital markets expertise with strategic business development, requiring strong market intelligence, deal origination capabilities, and the ability to lead end-to-end transaction execution.
You will work closely with senior leadership on market-entry strategies, revenue growth, and building scalable processes across sourcing, underwriting, negotiation, and closure.
1. Deal Origination, Sourcing & Pipeline Leadership
- Source and evaluate opportunities across land acquisition, disposition, redevelopment, JV / JD / SRA partnerships, and capital markets transactions .
- Build and manage a robust pipeline across Mumbai micro-markets using structured screening, scoring, and prioritization.
- Identify high-impact mandates and independently generate deal flow through strong market relationships.
2. Transaction Structuring & Execution Management
Structure commercially viable transactions including outright land deals, JV / JD models, development partnerships, financing transactions, and investment sales .Lead negotiations, internal approvals, due diligence, financial analysis, and documentation closure.Work closely with Legal, Finance, Design, and Technical teams to ensure disciplined, compliant, end-to-end deal execution.Develop internal SOPs for deal evaluation, risk assessment, documentation standards, and approvals.3. Financial Modelling & Investment Analysis
Lead financial modelling , feasibility studies, cash flow projections, valuations, and development scenario analysis.Assess project returns, risks, regulatory constraints, and commercial viability to support final decision-making.Present investment recommendations, pitch decks, and business cases to leadership and board-level stakeholders.4. Market Strategy, Intelligence & Regulatory Awareness
Track Mumbai / MMR real estate trends, pricing benchmarks, policy updates (DCPR, SRA, RERA, MHADA), and competitive activity.Provide insights on land feasibility, zoning parameters, FSI / plot potential, and regulatory implications for acquisitions.Create strategic opportunity maps, micro-market assessments, and forward-looking recommendations.5. Stakeholder & Ecosystem Management
Build deep relationships with developers, landowners, IPCs, brokers, societies, consultants, legal advisors, banks, NBFCs, and institutional investors .Strengthen market visibility and create an ecosystem that enables consistent access to high-quality deal flow.Represent the organization in key industry forums and negotiations.6. Leadership, Collaboration & Process Building
Lead and mentor a high-performing business development / capital markets team.Establish KRAs, review mechanisms, and clear operating norms.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless workflows and reduce deal turnaround time.Drive institutional memory through documentation, templates, and repeatable frameworks.Qualifications
12–20 years of experience in Capital Markets, Land Acquisition, Real Estate Investment, or Business Development —preferably within Mumbai / MMR.Proven track record of sourcing and closing large land transactions, JV / JD / SRA deals, investment sales, or financing mandates .Strong commercial and financial acumen with expertise in financial modelling, feasibility, valuations, and risk assessment .Deep understanding of local regulations : DCPR, RERA, SRA, MHADA, zoning laws, and development control rules.Established relationships with key stakeholders across the real estate ecosystem.Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Strategic thinker with operational agility, ownership mindset, and execution discipline.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.Thanks,
