SECTION 2 – JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Brand & Trade Marketing Manager
who will be responsible for developing and executing strategic brand plans while also aligning and supporting trade marketing initiatives across sales channels. The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of
consumer behavior, brand positioning , and
channel dynamics
(General Trade, Modern Trade, E-commerce, Retail, etc.). Preference will be given to candidates from the
footwear, FMCG, or cosmetics sectors .
SECTION 3 – KEY ACCOUNTIBILITIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND DELIVERABLES
Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies to drive awareness, engagement, and loyalty.
Lead new product launches, packaging upgrades, and brand communication across
ATL, BTL & digital
platforms.
Conduct consumer and competitor research to identify trends, gaps, and positioning opportunities.
Ensure that the brand's image, messaging, and positioning are consistent and effectively communicated to the target audience.
Liaise with external creative / media / digital agencies to deliver high-impact campaigns.
Build compelling marketing campaigns aligned with the brand’s vision and business goals.
Develop and execute trade marketing strategies to increase product visibility and off-take at the point of sale (POS).
Plan and implement in-store promotions, visibility solutions, merchandising, and display strategies.
Work closely with the Sales Team to ensure brand plans are aligned with channel realities and retailer needs.
Evaluate trade promotion effectiveness and return on investment (ROI) of retail initiatives.
SECTION 4 CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION :
Collaborate with Sales, Product Development, Digital, E-commerce, and Supply Chain teams.
Act as a bridge between marketing strategy and sales execution to ensure seamless alignment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's / master’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
Previous experience in Retail sales
Previous industry experience
Key Capabilities and Characteristics (Interpersonal skills, specific competencies, specific skills, etc)
Proficiency in using various marketing tools and software.
Familiarity with social media platforms and their marketing functionalities.
Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative marketing ideas.
Knowledge or exposure to Trade Marketing activities and tools.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in market research and data interpretation.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under tight deadlines.
Familiarity with digital marketing, shopper marketing, and in-store communication.
