The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new markets, managing key client relationships, and leading the sales team. The role requires a strong understanding of electrical protection products, industrial solutions, and project sales in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities in electrical protection and industrial solutions sector.
- Drive sales of Lightning Protection, SPD, and Industrial Plug & Socket products through direct sales, channel partners, distributors, and project contractors.
- Client & Market Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with consultants, EPC contractors, OEMs, industrial clients, and government bodies.
- Negotiate and close large-scale sales contracts and turnkey installation projects.
- Conduct product presentations, seminars, and technical discussions with stakeholders.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets.
- Monitor performance metrics, provide coaching, and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Collaborate with marketing and technical teams to support business growth.
- Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track industry trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide feedback to product development and management teams to enhance offerings.
- Represent the company in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
- Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain customer credit discipline.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and MIS for management review.
- Support ISO, compliance, and safety standards in sales and service operations.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong technical knowledge of electrical protection systems (Lightning Arresters, SPD, Earthing Systems, Industrial Plugs & Sockets).Proven track record of B2B sales, project sales, and channel management in electrical / electronic industry.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Leadership ability to drive a team and achieve stretch targets.Strategic thinker with strong customer orientation and problem-solving skills.Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering (preferred) or equivalent.MBA / PGDM in Sales & Marketing (added advantage).Minimum 10–15 years of sales experience in electrical equipment manufacturing, power systems, or industrial solutions.Strong network with consultants, EPCs, contractors, and industrial buyers.
