Role Overview The Procurement & Packaging Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring Communal’s products reach customers in the most premium, efficient, and sustainable way. From sourcing high-quality raw materials and packaging solutions to negotiating with vendors and ensuring timely deliveries, this role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, process-driven, and passionate about skincare packaging that feels as good as it looks.You’ll be responsible for building strong supplier relationships, streamlining procurement operations, and innovating in packaging design and functionality — all while keeping cost, quality, and sustainability in balance.Key Responsibilities Procurement & Vendor ManagementSource and manage suppliers for raw materials, packaging, and production needs.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and timelines with vendors.Evaluate supplier performance and maintain long-term partnerships.Ensure timely procurement aligned with production schedules.Packaging Development & ExecutionCollaborate with design and branding teams to bring packaging concepts to life.Identify sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions.Ensure packaging meets regulatory, safety, and quality standards.Coordinate with vendors for prototypes, sampling, and final production.Inventory & OperationsMaintain stock levels of raw materials and packaging to avoid production delays.Implement efficient inventory management systems.Work closely with logistics and warehouse teams for seamless flow of goods.Quality & ComplianceConduct quality checks for materials and packaging.Ensure compliance with industry standards, sustainability norms, and brand requirements.Troubleshoot and resolve supply chain or packaging issues promptly.Core Competencies Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.Understanding of procurement processes and supply chain operations.Knowledge of packaging materials, trends, and sustainability practices.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Problem-solving mindset with ability to work under deadlines.Technical Skills Proficiency in MS Excel / Google Sheets for procurement tracking.Familiarity with inventory management tools (Zoho, ERP, or similar).Basic knowledge of packaging design, materials, and printing processes.Awareness of compliance / regulatory guidelines in FMCG / skincare packaging.Personal Attributes Proactive, reliable, and process-driven.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to balance creativity with operational efficiency.Passionate about sustainability and premium skincare experiences.Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Packaging Technology, or related fields.1–3 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or packaging (FMCG / skincare preferred).Freshers with strong interest and relevant coursework may also apply.Experience in working with vendors for packaging development is a plus.Location : Full-time, on-site role based in Pune.
