Shopify Account Manager is responsible for managing company's Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) online store. His role requires a blend of technical Shopify expertise, analytical ability, and ecommerce growth mind-set. You’ll manage the day-to-day operations of our Shopify store, enhance the customer journey, optimize conversion rates, and collaborate with marketing, design, and logistics teams to deliver a seamless D2C experience.
Responsibilities :
Shopify Store Management
Oversee end-to-end management of the Shopify store, including product listings, pricing, collections, and on-site content.
Manage theme customization, app integrations, and third-party plug-ins to enhance site functionality.
Maintain site health — ensure uptime, speed optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
Coordinate with developers / designers for UI / UX improvements.
Conversion & Performance Optimization
Monitor and improve conversion rate (CRO), average order value (AOV), and cart abandonment rate.
Conduct A / B testing on landing pages, product pages, and checkout flows.
Use analytics tools (Shopify Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.) to identify growth opportunities.
Product & Inventory Management
Work with the product and operations team to update SKUs, variants, inventory levels, and product descriptions.
Ensure accurate product categorization, tagging, and search functionality.
Marketing & Growth Support
Collaborate with performance marketing & CRM teams to ensure site readiness for campaigns, product launches, and promotions.
Customer Experience & Support
Ensure smooth checkout and payment gateway operations.
Coordinate with customer service to address website-related issues or feedback.
Optimize post-purchase flow and loyalty program integrations.
Reporting & Insights
Track KPIs such as revenue, traffic, conversion, bounce rate, and retention.
Prepare weekly / monthly performance reports and actionable insights.
Skills and Qualifications :
2+ years of experience managing Shopify or Shopify Plus stores (preferably for a D2C brand).
Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and digital marketing tools.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to use Excel, Google Sheets, or other data management tools.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Familiarity with inventory management systems.
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Data-driven and detail-oriented with a problem-solving mind-set.
Excellent project management and cross-functional communication.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
