Job Location – Bangalore / Noida

About the Role :

The Solution Consultant plays a key leadership role in the Integrated GTM team, leading transformation across Digital Business Services (DBS) and Engineering Services (ERS). This position orchestrates strategic pursuits and leverages the latest technologies, including Generative AI (Gen AI) , to deliver innovative, future-ready solutions tailored to client needs with core responsibilities as partnering with practice heads and technical experts to reveal new growth opportunities, developing robust GTM strategies, and delivering persuasive, Gen AI-empowered proposals. The solution component will focus on enabling end-to-end service transformation, driving industry-aligned value chain innovation , and elevating process excellence , all powered by Gen AI. This is achieved through close coordination with sales SMEs and consultants, ensuring the proposals are fully supported and aligned with business objectives.

The scope spans a diverse digital landscape : UX & UI, Digital Engagement Platforms, Application Modernization, Multi-Channel Commerce, Cloud, API & Micro-services, BPM & RPA, Data & Advanced Analytics, and SaaS ecosystems like Salesforce—with a significant emphasis on Gen AI’s ability to accelerate innovation and enhance outcomes across various industries.

What is Expected of the Role :

Key Responsibilities :

Lead a team of Solution Specialists, ensuring alignment with client needs and business goals.

Act as the primary point of contact for escalations, resolving issues and ensuring smooth project delivery.

Oversee the development of tailored technical solutions for clients, ensuring they meet business objectives.

Design, implement, and optimize outcome-based pricing constructs for presales proposals.

Ensure the Solution Specialists are continuously upskilling in the latest AI tools and technologies.

Collaborate with the sales, product, and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of AI and other solutions into client proposals.

Monitor the progress of ongoing pre-sales engagements and provide regular feedback to team members.

Develop and implement strategies to improve pre-sales activities, leveraging AI tools and technologies to streamline processes.

Drive internal collaboration and knowledge sharing within the presales team.

Skills Needed :

The Solution Consultant requires both technical expertise and leadership skills to successfully manage a team and lead complex presales engagements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AI’s role in the services industry and experience in creating strategic, outcome-based pricing models.

Key Skills :

Proven leadership experience in managing a pre-sales team, with the ability to drive collaboration and deliver results.

Strong understanding of AI’s impact on the services industry, particularly in automation and digital transformation.

Extensive experience with AI tools (e.g., machine learning, NLP, robotic process automation) and their application in presales.

Expertise in designing and implementing outcome-based pricing models aligned with client KPIs and business objectives.

Strong experience in solution architecture, client-facing engagements, and pre-sales activities.

Ability to provide strategic guidance and mentorship to Solution Specialists, helping them grow and succeed in their roles.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to senior stakeholders.

Strong project management skills to oversee multiple presales engagements simultaneously.

Proven track record of delivering AI-driven solutions and leading a successful presales team.

Expectations for New Hires :

Complete AI certification within the first few weeks to build a strong foundational understanding of AI technologies.

Familiarize yourself with HCL Tech's AI Force platform and its integration into the presales process.

Collaborate with the Solution Specialists and senior leadership to ensure that client proposals are aligned with company strategies.

Lead by example in designing outcome-based pricing models and driving AI-driven solutions.

What Will Happen in the First Six Weeks of Joining :

The first six weeks will be focused on onboarding, familiarizing yourself with the team, and getting hands-on experience in leading pre-sales activities.

Week 1 : Complete onboarding / certification on AI / GenAI platforms and pricing innovation frameworks. Introduction to the HCL Tech AI Force platform and how it integrates with the pre-sales cycle.

Weeks 2-3 : Lead team to deploy GenAI tools for content and message optimization; direct commercial modeling scenarios (output-based pricing).

Week 4 : Coach team on HCLTech’s AI Force platform and articulate its impact on bid value, SDLC, and operating models.

Weeks 5-6 : Own at least one major pursuit, integrating GenAI-enabled operating model and output-based commercial structure; report advanced KPIs versus benchmarks.

By the end of the sixth week, you will be expected to be fully immersed in the role, capable of leading a team of Solution Specialists, driving client engagements, and ensuring the successful delivery of AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications & Experience :

Educational Qualifications :

MBA (Master of Business Administration) with a focus on strategy, technology management, or a related field.

Experience :

Minimum 5–7 years of experience in presales consulting, solution architecture, or a related technical field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Strong hands-on experience with AI technologies such as machine learning, NLP, and robotic process automation (RPA).

Proven expertise in designing and implementing outcome-based pricing models.

Experience in managing and mentoring teams, with a strong focus on performance management and coaching.

Background in client-facing roles, with the ability to manage complex engagements and propose tailored solutions.

Experience working with cross-functional teams (sales, technical, and product) to ensure successful client engagements.
