Job descriptionOversee overall warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and dispatch. Ensure proper space utilization, stock arrangement, and safety protocols. Implement best practices for reducing damages, shrinkage, and delays. Maintain accurate stock levels across all product categories. Conduct regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations. Implement inventory management systems and optimize reorder levels. Coordinate with sales and production to forecast demand and manage supply. Supervise the generation of invoices for B2B, B2C, and modern trade partners. Ensure compliance with GST and other regulatory requirements. Streamline billing processes for accuracy and efficiency. Oversee order fulfillment across e-commerce, modern trade, and distributors. Ensure timely dispatch of shipments and manage last-mile delivery partners. Track and resolve logistics-related issues including delays and damages. Negotiate with logistics providers to optimize costs and delivery timelines. Align demand forecasts with production schedules. Monitor lead times for raw materials and finished goods. Provide operational insights to improve production planning and efficiency. Strong understanding of supply chain, warehouse, packing / filling, and inventory management. Experience with SAP, ERP systems, WMS, and billing software. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Effective communicator with cross-functional teams (production, sales, finance). Leadership skills to manage warehouse staff, packing team, and external partners. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field. MBA preferred. 5+ years of relevant experience in operations, preferably in FMCG, retail, or consumer lifestyle brands
Role Overview
The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning of back-end operations, with a focus on warehouse efficiency, accurate inventory control, billing and invoicing, timely shipment handling, packing and filling oversight, and close coordination with the production team. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution to support the growth in the premium home fragrance and lifestyle category.
Key Responsibilities
1. Packing & Filling Management
- Supervise product packing and filling operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Monitor quality checks during packing to maintain brand standards.
- Coordinate manpower allocation for large orders and seasonal spikes.
- Ensure packing materials and supplies are always available in alignment with demand.
- Work with production to optimize packing workflows and reduce wastage.
