About the Role :
We are seeking an accomplished and results-oriented Assistant Vice President - Sales to lead and scale our sales organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for formulating strategic sales plans, driving revenue growth, developing high-performing teams, and establishing strong client relationships. This leadership position plays a crucial role in shaping the companys market expansion strategy and ensuring consistent achievement of sales goals.
Key Planning & Execution :
- Develop, implement, and execute sales strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Identify market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to uncover growth opportunities.
- Define clear sales goals and develop tactical plans to meet or exceed revenue targets.
Team Leadership & Development :
Lead, mentor, and motivate regional or vertical sales teams to deliver consistent performance.Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Provide training, guidance, and support to enhance sales effectiveness and productivity.Client Relationship Management :
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, partners, and industry stakeholders.Manage negotiations and close high-value deals, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and retention.Represent the company in client meetings, presentations, and business events.Performance & Reporting :
Monitor sales performance metrics, pipeline health, and conversion ratios using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Analyze data and prepare regular reports and forecasts for executive leadership.Ensure accurate sales forecasting and timely delivery of performance insights.Cross-functional Collaboration :
Work closely with marketing, operations, and product teams to align go-to-market and client engagement strategies.Provide market feedback to influence product development and pricing strategies.Governance & Compliance :
Ensure adherence to company policies, pricing structures, and contractual guidelines.Participate in budgeting, target setting, and annual business planning activities for the sales function.Qualifications & Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).8-12 years of progressive experience in B2B / B2C sales, with at least 35 years in a senior leadership role.Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales and revenue targets.Strong command over sales analytics, forecasting, and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a dynamic environment.High degree of integrity, business acumen, and decision-making capability.Preferred Experience :
