Senior Manager

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Senior Manager to manage the financial operations of our NGO, ensuring accurate accounting, statutory compliance, and transparent reporting of grant and project funds. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NGO accounting, FCRA compliance, and donor reporting requirements.

Monitor the entries and books of accounts in accordance with accounting standards and NGO-specific requirements

• Ensure timely accounting of income, grants, donations, and project expenditures with the reportees
• Prepare and Review financial statements and reports for donors, management, and statutory authorities
• Ensure review, controls and compliance with FCRA, Income Tax, and other applicable laws and regulations
• Handle FCRA accounting, FC4 returns, and track fund utilization as per donor guidelines
• Lead the budget preparation exercise and variance analysis for projects and grants
• Ensure team to timely payment of statutory dues (TDS, PF, ESI, GST if applicable) and filing of returns
• Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors and provide necessary documentation
• Support donor audits and ensure proper tracking of restricted / unrestricted funds
• Maintain documentation and ensure audit-ready records at all times
• Liaise with program teams for financial inputs, fund requirements, and compliance checks
• Work on the monthly MIS data and present it to the management
• Solid understanding of NGO financial operations and compliance
• Hands-on experience with FCRA accounting and reporting
• Working knowledge of accounting software (Tally Prime, Zoho Books, etc.)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools
• High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy
• Good communication skills for donor and team coordination
• Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
• Experience working in or with NGOs / Trusts / Societies
• Knowledge of donor fund management, reporting formats, and grant utilization tracking
• Handled FCRA and CSR Audit and Accounting
