We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oracle Inventory Service Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our Oracle inventory management systems.
You will provide critical L1 support, manage incoming tickets, troubleshoot issues, and support essential period-end activities. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Oracle ERP systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of data accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L1 support for organization and location configurations within the Oracle system.
- Manage and resolve issues related to Oracle Receiving and Recipient Accounting, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Deliver essential support services during month-end and quarter-end closing periods to guarantee operational continuity.
- Triage and prioritize incoming tickets from end-users regarding Oracle inventory management issues.
- Perform initial assessments of reported system issues and troubleshoot problems systematically.
- Escalate complex or unresolved problems to appropriate support teams and on-call personnel for timely resolution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of Oracle inventory issues, from user errors to system-level glitches.
- Document solutions, create comprehensive knowledge base articles, and maintain a robust repository of information for future reference.
- Monitor ticket queues to ensure timely responses and strict compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Support critical period-end processing activities to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and processed.
- Ensure inventory visibility and data accuracy across all Oracle systems, minimizing discrepancies.
- Implement and promote best practices for inventory management within Oracle to improve efficiency and reduce Skills and Qualifications :
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working with Oracle inventory management modules.
- A solid understanding of receiving and recipient accounting processes and their impact on financial records.
- Demonstrated experience with organization and location configuration within Oracle ERP systems.
- Familiarity with month-end and quarter-end procedures and the ability to work under pressure during these times.
- Strong problem analysis, prioritization, and troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in using ticketing systems for incident management and tracking.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure during critical business periods.
- A background in technical support or service desk environments is highly desirable.
- A strong understanding of general inventory management concepts and principles.
- A strong customer service orientation with a focus on end-user satisfaction.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and its various modules.Familiarity with reporting tools such as Oracle Reports, OBIEE, or others.Knowledge of PL / SQL for creating and modifying stored procedures, functions, and packages is a plus(ref : hirist.tech)
