Tableau Application Support Specialist :
We are seeking experienced and proactive Tableau Application Support Specialists to join our Managed Services team.
The selected candidates will be responsible for supporting business-critical Tableau dashboards and ensuring the health and performance of Tableau Server environments.
This role combines application support, server administration, and close collaboration with data teams to maintain SLA adherence and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide L2 / L3 application support for Tableau, addressing incidents, service requests, and performance issues.
- Administer Tableau Server (user / group management, permissions, scheduling, patching, and upgrades).
- Monitor server health, logs, and performance metrics to ensure service availability.
- Analyze and optimize Oracle SQL queries for data extraction and reporting.
- Coordinate with developers, DBAs, and infrastructure teams to resolve data and platform-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with ITSM processes (incident, problem, and change management).
- Manage deployments and version control of Tableau workbooks and data sources.
- Automate routine support activities through scripting (Shell / Bash).
- Maintain technical documentation including SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and change logs.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum 3 years experience in Tableau Server administration and application support.Strong expertise in Oracle SQL and query performance tuning.Hands-on experience in Linux-based environments.Familiarity with Tableau Desktop and dashboard optimization.Understanding of data warehouse and ETL pipelines.Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.(ref : hirist.tech)
