Role Summary
We are seeking a Category Lead to drive the overall strategy, growth, and profitability of assigned categories. The role involves end-to-end ownership of planning, assortment, pricing, and performance management while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement category strategies aligned with business goals.Own end-to-end category P&L, ensuring growth and profitability.Identify assortment opportunities and work with sourcing teams for product curation.Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers; negotiate terms to maximize margins.Coordinate with marketing, operations, and product teams for category campaigns and performance optimization.Monitor sales trends, inventory, and pricing to ensure business efficiency.Analyze category performance metrics and take data-driven actions for improvement.Leverage market and consumer insights to drive innovation and competitiveness.Collaborate with supply chain teams to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce fulfilment Bachelors or Masters degree in Business, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).6-10 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or business operations (preferably in e-commerce, retail, or FMCG).Strong analytical, negotiation, and P&L management skills.Proficiency in MS Excel and analytical tools.Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.Self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.What We Offer
