Role Overview
We're seeking a Category Strategy Lead to build and implement category-specific growth frameworks that go beyond generic models. This role requires a strategic, hands-on approach to understanding category dynamics and identifying the levers that drive revenue and profitability. You will lead a team (Growth Managers) and collaborate cross-functionally to develop tailored strategies for diverse product categories like fashion, and more.
Key Responsibilities
- Own category P&L – drive GMV, Spend / GMV, Profitability, and Total Spends while optimizing ROI.
- Develop category-specific strategies to maximize relevance and impact across different product verticals.
- Lead & mentor a team of Growth Managers, ensuring execution rigor, structured decision-making, and high-impact problem-solving.
- Leverage market insights & data to refine strategies based on competitive dynamics, consumer behavior, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with Growth, Product, and Data teams to align strategies with platform capabilities and client success metrics.
- Serve as the category expert, providing insights, trends, and competitive benchmarks to inform company-wide strategy.
- Build adaptable category frameworks that incorporate best practices in pricing, merchandising, and digital growth.
What We're Looking For
3-6 years of experience in category management, strategy, consulting, or e-commerce with expertise in D2C scaling.Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Experience in P&L ownership, revenue growth, and cross-functional collaboration.Hands-on experience in digital marketing in a D2C / e-commerce context is a plus.Ability to synthesize insights into actionable frameworks that drive measurable impact.What We Offer
